I am a Native English speaker with 10+ years of academic Japanese language experience. I have worked in Japan for four years in Information Technology, which has given me a native level comprehension of the terminology used in the field. My field experience includes programming, networking, IT Project Management, and ITIL concepts. My real-world experience in the field working in Japanese has made me comfortable providing technically accurate and natural translations that would be understandable to other IT professionals.<br><br>Given my experience in the private sector I can also translate most general business related documents.<br><br>Language History:<br>1993: Began studying Japanese in the United States.<br>2000: Completed intensive one year language program for Japanese language at Nanzan University in Nagoya Japan. <br>2001: Graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a BA in Japanese and BS in Computer Information Systems.<br>2003: Passed the Level 1 (highest level) of the Japanese Proficiency Language Test.<br>2006/6: Completed studies at IUC, advanced school for Japanese language in Yokohama.<br>2006/7: Worked as full-time technical translator in Osaka.<br>Present: Continuing work as a freelance translator.
